Barrier Rails: California Type 50

This Caltrans median barrier rail configuration consists of contoured face panels (interchangeable with the type 25 face) designed to stack neatly for compact storage/transport and to promote product longevity by reducing point loading during handling. Leveling bolts are provided in two locations to assist with grading and assembly on uneven surfaces.

Turnbuckle assemblies allow for accurate plumbing & alignment of panels (anchors by customer). Top ties set concrete dimensions at the top of the rail while turnbuckle channels assemblies are anchored appropriately to set the barrier’s base dimensions.
